Sun, Skims, & Sounds: Great Divide's Season Finale!
Today is the Season Finale at Great Divide, and we are sending the season off in true Great Divide fashion—with a party!
The Mount Belmont, Good Luck, and Meadow Mountain Chairlifts are operating today, from 10 am to 5 pm. Depending on conditions, the Meadow Mountain and/or Mount Belmont chairlifts may be shut down before 5 pm today.
The event everyone has been waiting for, the Pond Skim, kicks off at 2 pm today. This is the funnest event of the season, with options for everyone, from spectators to our Pond Skimmers. We will have a deck BBQ going along with Rootbeer Floats on the Deck, and live music kicks off at 1 pm with the band Marly and the Pocket playing on the deck.
Today's lift tickets are just $25, and remember, you don’t need one to watch the Pond Skim—join us for free! Skimmers need a valid ticket or season pass.
With the warm temperatures over the past week, we have experienced a lot of snow melt. There are many thin/bare spots spread across the mountain. The Upper Mountain will be limited to North Side skiing today with a closure extending from Snow Fields to Between the Peaks. As always, ski carefully, enjoy the spring vibes, and help send off the season in Great Divide style.
Season Lease Return Special:
Return your leased equipment today and enjoy a $10 coupon for any food/beverage purchase to make your finale even sweeter.
Speaking of Season Leases, don’t forget about our in-town Season Lease Pickup. Join us in town on Wednesday, April 24th, from 2 pm to 7 pm at the old Shopko Parking Lot to return your leased equipment. It’s the perfect time to exchange stories of snowy escapades and maybe plan some off-season adventures.

Safety First: Whether you're a seasoned pro or hitting the slopes for the first time this season, remember these important safety tips:
- Warm-Up Properly: Take the time to warm up and stretch before you start skiing or snowboarding. It's essential to get your muscles ready for action, especially if you haven't been on the slopes since last spring.
- Know Your Limits: Don't push yourself too hard. Be aware of your skill level and stick to trails that match your abilities. If you're trying something new, take it slow and gradually progress.
- Helmet Up: We strongly recommend wearing a helmet while skiing or snowboarding. It's a simple but effective way to protect your head in case of a fall or collision.
- Obey the Rules: Follow the posted trail signs and obey all mountain rules and guidelines. Did you know there is a new Responsibility Code? Make sure you are aware of your Responsibilities when it comes to skiing/snowboarding. You can find all about the new code here.
- Stay Hydrated and Nourished: Drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated, and don't forget to refuel with some snacks or a meal during your breaks.
- Emergency Contact: Keep your cell phone charged and with you in case of an emergency. Save the ski patrol's phone number, (406) 430-0110, and ask for help if you need it.
- Weather Awareness: Stay updated on weather conditions and be prepared for changing weather. Dress in layers and carry essentials like extra clothing, sunscreen, and goggles.
- Travel in Groups: If possible, ski or snowboard with a group or at least one partner. It's safer and more enjoyable when you have someone to share the experience with.
- Know the Terrain: Familiarize yourself with the terrain and trail maps. Avoid areas that are closed for safety reasons.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone out on the slopes!
